LIQUID ROOFING SYSTEMS FOR OVERLAYS AND NEW DECKS
Liquid roofing systems have made a great advancement in recent years when it comes to refurbishing old flat roofs and on new roofs for extensions.
The reason we may choose to overlay roofs is when the existing roof has come to the end of its life but is still in ok condition and the subdeck is in sound condition. This is usually the case with larger commercial mineral felt roofs and especially asphalt roofs which are very costly to rip up. Usually with asphalt roofs the most cost effective way to renew is to install a liquid system over the top which will give a completely new finish with a 30/40 plus year life expectancy and a 20 year guarantee. Our usual system of choice is RESTEC 2020 which is a flexible- multi surface GRP roofing system. More details on this system below. We can also install liquid systems on new roofs although we feel that membrane systems are more suited for this job.

What is RESTEC2020?
FLEXITEC 2020 is a flexible single resin GRP system that has revolutionised the liquid roofing
industry, with full overlay capabilities. Combining the best elements of fibreglass with the versatility
of overlay systems, no other flat roof system performs at this level across so many
applications. Powder hardener is added to the resin, then applied 2 layers combined with chopped
strand matting. Once cured the base layer is sanded down and a topcoat of resin applied creating a
seamless, tough and flexible membrane for any roof area.
